Hi welcome to my page. I’m Bill Kombol, born and raised in Enumclaw, Washington and now living less than seven miles away in the historic coal mining town of Black Diamond. I’ve devoted my career to running my family’s business, Palmer Coking Coal, Co. I’m UW grad, an eclectic history buff with a particular interested in the area where I was raised, here at the base of Mount Rainier. My father’s family immigrated to this region from Croatia and my mother’s family came to the Pacific Northwest on the Oregon Trail. Here you’ll find my musings on life, the history of this region (with an emphasis on coal mining in Washington State) and random facts and fascinations of mine.

I like to share my writings.  I enjoy storytelling.  This page will further those goals.
