Hi, welcome to my page. I’m Bill Kombol, born and raised in Enumclaw, Washington and now living less than seven miles away in the historic coal mining town of Black Diamond. I devoted my career to running my family’s business, Palmer Coking Coal, Co. and recently retired. I’m a U.W. grad, an eclectic history buff with a particular interested in the area where I was raised.

My father’s family immigrated to this region from Croatia and my mother’s family is primarily Welsh with one branch arriving in the Pacific Northwest on the Oregon Trail. You’ll find  musings on life, the history of this region (with an emphasis on coal mining in Washington State) plus random facts, autobiographical stories, and fascinations that capture my fancy.

I like to share my writings.  I enjoy storytelling.  This page will explore those goals.
